Health and wellbeing is in no doubt one of the key principle of living a good life. However, it varies from each individual. There are many activities offered in the community that promotes health and wellbeing. It ranges from a high intensity workout to a calming mindfulness meditation. Choose and decide which activities you would like to venture on that will assist in achieving a healthy physical and mental wellbeing.
Bonds are formed between people or groups who share a strong and secure connection with each other. The attachment is established because of identical values, beliefs, thoughts, emotions, experiences, or goals. Bonding is a process and it takes a lot of effort and trust in order to form lasting bonds. Bonds provide security, stability, and a sense of love and care. These bonds can promote a good mental health and wellbeing.
Relationships are connections formed between individuals or group of people who have high regard in valuing each other. Relationship can be formed with family, friends, colleagues, or special someone. Community and social participation allows an individual to form lasting relationships to people they value, care for, and love. Relationships teaches an individual the importance of communication, respect, boundaries, and trust.
Identity is an essential part of ourselves. It let us form a greater understanding of ourselves and the beliefs we carry on in our life. Finding out our family history, where we are from, or which culture we belong to are important factors in discovering our identity. However, identity does not limit us to our background but also constitutes the groups, beliefs, opinions, connections, and experiences where we feel accepted, supported, and understood.
Community and social participation is not only about the connection, relationship, and experiences, but also gaining new insights, enhancing skills, and accomplishing goals. Going to a university, training event, a seminar, or a community class can give that opportunity to a person. Learning is a continuous process and it is an endeavor we seek in the community whether face-to-face or online, a big even or a small gathering.
Community engagements allows a person to choose groups or activities of interest. It promotes inclusiveness in the community by experiencing belongingness and fostering genuine human connection. Community participation allows individuals to establish appropriate social networks where they are able to share their ideas, skills, and stories. Social interactions is where a person feel heard and accepted valued member of the community.
